Youth Congress launches poster campaign in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Congress (District Srinagar), on Sunday launched a poster campaign to spread awareness among new voters about their forth coming right to vote.

According to a press release, the “Mera Pehla Vote” campaign was launched by CWC member and senior Congress leader  Tariq Hameed Karra .

Karra said, “We need to impress upon the prospective first voters the importance of their participation in nation building and value of their vote to achieve that pursuit. Side by side we need to educate them about the rich heritage and contribution of the Congress party which resulted in Independence of our Country. Simultaneously we need to reach out to the people to educate the people to rise to the occasion for confronting BJP's politics of hate and fragmentation.” He impressed upon youth to launch the campaign at both assembly  and block levels.  Mera Pehla Vote is a nationwide initiative by Indian Youth Congress to attract first-time enthusiastic voters in the age group 18 to 23, as the party prepares for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Apart from Youth President Srinagar Yasir Mandoo, PCC Vice President Nisar Ahmed Mandoo, senior leader Syed Manzoor Ahmed were also present on the occasion. At the end, Yasir Mandoo presented vote of thanks for the presence of senior leadership which has highly enthused Youth Congress of district Srinagar.
