Young man saves life of barking deer in J&K’s Udhampur
Udhampur, May 17: A man saved the life of a barking deer that had strayed from the forest into the village in the Darsoo area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Shubham, a resident of Darsoo, noticed that a group of dogs had surrounded the deer and were attacking it. Without hesitation, Shubham picked up the deer and took it to his room, where he locked it up to protect it from the dogs.
The villagers immediately informed the Wildlife Department, Udhampur.
Wildlife officials led by Mahesh Abrol, Range Officer wild life Department Udhampur rushed to the spot and took the deer to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
After receiving treatment, the deer was taken to the Tandy Rakh Park and Rescue Center, Udhampur where it is currently being kept.
