Yasir Mandoo criticises JKPDCL decisions

Srinagar, Dec 1: Youth Congress leader and District Srinagar President Yasir Mandoo has strongly criticised the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (JKPDCL) over its hefty demand charges, convenience fees, and arbitrary decisions that are severely affecting consumers.

In a statement he said , “Basic utilities like electricity are a necessity, not a luxury. Instead of ensuring access, they are imposing exorbitant charges and unilaterally altering billing systems."

Yasir Mandoo has called upon the Jammu and Kashmir administration to take immediate steps to address the issue. "We urge Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to uphold government’s promises, including 24x7 electricity supply and free units for domestic consumers. It is high time the administration held KPDCL accountable for its actions," he added.
