In a post on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of reflection and compassion in today’s fast-paced world and urged collective efforts to make conversations around mental health more mainstream.
“World Mental Health Day serves as a powerful reminder that mental health is a fundamental part of our overall well-being. In a fast-paced world, this day underscores the importance of reflecting and extending compassion to others. Let us also work collectively to create environments where conversations around mental health become more mainstream,” the Prime Minister wrote. PM Modi also commended those working in the field of mental health, saying their efforts help others “heal and find happiness.” The Prime Minister’s message comes as India and the global community mark World Mental Health Day, which aims to raise awareness and mobilise action to support mental well-being across societies.
