World Diabetes Day observed at DH Kulgam
Kulgam, Nov 14: A screening camp with the theme ‘Access to Diabetes Care’ was today organized under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke at District Hospital Kulgam.
During the camp, a total of 103 patients were screened and counseled for Diabetes. Free Glucometers and medicines were provided to the diagnosed patients.
The primary goal of World Diabetes Day is to raise awareness about diabetes, its prevention, management, and the global impact of the disease. The day also serves as a platform to advocate for the importance of early detection, diagnosis, and access to appropriate treatment and care for individuals with diabetes.
World Diabetes day is also a day to advocate for the rights of people with diabetes and to call for action to address the global diabetes epidemic.
