World Boxing champion Jaismine Lamboria meets mentor in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 30: Indian Army boxer Jaismine Lamboria, who recently won the gold medal in the 57 kg category at the 2025 World Boxing Championships held in Liverpool, England, Tuesday met her mentor in Jammu.

In what is widely considered the toughest weight category in women’s boxing, Jaismine beat world-class boxers from Ukraine, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Poland en route to a historic gold medal.

Boxing pundits from all over the world complimented her on her mental toughness and her ability to stay calm in pressure-cooker situations. But very few people know the secret behind her mental strength is her motivator Vickrant Mahajan, who hails from Jammu.
