Rajouri, Dec 3: Sumit Bhargav, the Greater Kashmir correspondent in Rajouri and Poonch, Wednesday delivered a lecture and made a detailed presentation on evolving trends of Mobile Journalism (MoJo) and values of journalism during two-day workshop at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University of Rajouri.

The workshop is being organised by the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies and Research, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) on the theme ‘Mobile Journalism'.

It has been scheduled for the maiden batch of the PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication.

In his message for this workshop, Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal appreciated the initiative and highlighted its importance in strengthening innovative media education at the University.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Danish Iqbal Raina, coordinator, Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies and Research, thanked Vice Chancellor Prof Jawaid Iqbal and Registrar Abhishek Sharma for their continuous support and leadership in establishing this course at the University.

Asrar Ghaus, coordinator CHT, also spoke on the occasion and commended the centre for organizing such practical and forward-looking training sessions for students.

GK correspondent Sumit Bhargav, an accredited journalist and documentary filmmaker, conducted an intensive session covering the fundamentals of mobile journalism.

He guided students through the use of essential applications and tools for capturing, editing, and producing news content using smartphones.

Haseena Jameel, Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communication, conducted the proceedings of the event and briefed the audience about the objectives and structure of the workshop.

The workshop was attended by students of Journalism and Mass Communication, DYD, and B.Voc, who actively participated in the hands-on sessions.
