Workshop on investigation of UAPA, NDPS cases organised

Baramulla, Nov 23: A one day workshop on investigation of special cases (UAPA and NDPS) was organised by Range Police Headquarters north Kashmir at District Police Lines Baramulla.

The workshop was conducted under the supervision of DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood Ul Zaman in collaboration with the Prosecution department and retired police Officers. Many guest speakers were invited to share their knowledge and experience.

DIG NKR  Maqsood Ul Zaman in his Inaugural speech welcomed all the participants and briefed them that the objective of organising the workshop is to enhance and polish the investigation skills of officers and updating their knowledge on the SOPs to be adopted during investigation of special cases like UAPA and NDPS. He further said that "our role under the law is multifaceted as we are tasked with investigating narcotics related crimes and unlawful activities, collecting intelligence on these illegal activities and networks, executing seizures and ensuring the safe handling of evidence."
