'Working to get things back as quickly as possible', says WhatsApp after thousands report outage with instant messaging globally
Srinagar, April 3: The instant messaging app, WhatsApp, owned by Meta Platforms, was down for thousands of users on Wednesday, outage tracking website Downdetector.com reported.
In India, more than 20,000 users reported the issue, saying they were unable to log-in, send messages, or use services life WhatsApp audio and WhatsApp video.
About 12,000 users in United States reported the issue, while around 46,000 did in the United Kingdom and over 42,000 in Brazil have reported issues with the platform, Downdetector data showed.
Meanwhile, taking to their official X handle, WhatsApp said , "We know some people are experiencing issues right now, we're working on getting things back to 100% for everyone as quickly as possible."
