Work for longest flyover in Srinagar to start soon, says Roads and Buildings department
Srinagar, Jun 01: The Roads and Buildings (R&B) department Saturday said that they will soon be constructing the longest flyover in Srinagar which will connect Parimpora to Shalteng crossing along the highway in Srinagar.
Quoting sources from the R&B department, news agency KNO reported that a flyover is about to be sanctioned on the highway which aims to alleviate the traffic congestion on one of the busiest routes.
They said that the project is moving at a fast pace, and that the tendering process will begin soon.n soon.
“The flyover will ease the traffic flow on the busy highway,” they said.
However, no timeline was given by the department nor was any expected date given about when the flyover will be completed.
The administration has already been constructing two mini flyovers at Sanat Nagar and Nowgam junctions to ease the traffic flow, however, people and reports have urged the authorities to pace-up the work in these two flyovers.
