Won’t trade J&K’s land for politics: CM Omar
Ganderbal, Oct 28: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said his government would not accept anything that would harm the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the media persons on the sidelines of the annual day celebration of Sainik School Mansbal, CM Omar said that the bill was meant to help the land mafia. “Those people who have illegally occupied the land and those who aren’t even the residents of J&K won’t be accepted,” he said. “We won’t support or accept any bill that rewards land grabbers under the guise of helping people. I won’t allow my government to do any such thing that is meant to harm the people here.”
The CM said the bill brought merely for politics was against the interests of J&K.
He said that he cannot sell the land of J&K for a Rajya Sabha seat.
“Helping people doesn’t mean that I will trade J&K’s land for votes or for a Rajya Sabha seat,” CM Omar said.
