The organising of the event was initiated by Suresh B Kapadia from Nashik, Maharashtra, who has been a strong advocate for the economic and social upliftment of Kashmir and its youth.

Known for his efforts in promoting tourism in Gurez, Kapadia’s contributions have been instrumental in transforming the lives of many in the region.

The competition also highlighted the diverse talents of Kashmiri women, as many participants were artisans crafting world-class bags for Caprese, proving that these artisans' hands are as skilled in the water as they are with embroidery.

Each participant received a certificate and attractive cash prizes, with special awards for the top three finishers.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the president of JKARS, Burhan, and felicitation of Bilquis by VC LCMA, Younis Malik, for her contributions to the sport and her efforts in bringing honour to Kashmir.

The event was attended by Special Secretary of Tourism, Mathura Masoom; Principal of BHSS Nowpora, Masrat Parveen; Holistic Minds and Soul founder Souliihaa Rasool, and broadcaster Tabraiz Madani.
