SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Vijay Kotwal confirmed the incident and said that the other passengers are safe.

Police have advised travelers to exercise utmost caution while passing through this Mehar - Cafeteria Morh stretch as landslides and falling stones may pose risks especially during unpredictable weather.

The Mehar -Cafeteria Morh road stretch has been under construction for the last many years.

Following frequent landslides, the government has proposed a two-lane c-shape tunnel and a cut and cover tunnel.

However, due to unknown reasons, the tunnel work on this vital stretch was halted.

The work of cut and cover tunnels on the same alignment is going on but at a very slow pace.
