Woman killed during clash over land dispute: Police

Ramban, Dec 13:A woman was allegedly killed during a clash between two groups on a land dispute at Seripora, Sangaldan area of Gool on Wednesday.

Police sources identified the deceased las Saleema Begum, 56, wife of Abdul Majeed Thokar resident of Seripura, Sangaldan Gool. She was removed to hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Later police team led by SHO Police Station Gool reached PHC Sangaldan and shifted the body of the deceased to District Hospital Ramban for conducting the postmortem.

They said after conducting postmortem and other legal formalities at District Hospital Ramban the body has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites. Police sources said Mohammad Farooq and Masrat Ahmed, both sons of Mohammad Ibrahim residents of Famrote Seripura, Gool, were arrested.

SHO Police Station Gool Inspector Firdous Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that two persons were detained.
