Woman injured in accidental gunshot in Ramban, hospitalized

Ramban, Feb 08: A woman sustained injuries in an accidental gunshot incident at her residence in Ramban district during the intervening night.

Officals said that the injured has been identified as Sapna Devi (36) a resident of Village Duthan, Tehsil and District Ramban. She was reportedly injured after a firearm accidentally went off inside her home.

Family members immediately shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
