Woman injured in accidental fire in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Srinagar, June 04: A 40-year-old woman was injured after a CRPF jawan accidentally discharged his firearm in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

Officials said the incident took place when a contingent of CRPF and J&K Police were patrolling in Syed-Abad Pastoona village in Tral.

The injured woman has been identified as Shaheena, a resident of Syed-Abad Pastoona Tral, who was rushed to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar for immediate treatment.

The condition of the injured is stated to be stable, said an official.
