Woman delivers triplets at SDH Tangmarg
Baramulla, Aug 08: A woman from Tangmarg in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district gave birth to healthy triplets at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg on Thursday. The mother and all three babies are reported to be in good health with no complications following the delivery.
According to hospital officials, the woman initially delivered one of the babies at home. After the first birth, she was promptly taken to SDH Tangmarg, where she delivered the remaining two babies under the supervision of a skilled medical team.
The medical team was led by senior consultant gynecologist Dr Zainab Drabo and included Dr Nisar, Dr Shafaq, Dr Rafeeqa, Staff Sister Haleema, and Ruksana, who provided support during the deliveries.
“This exceptional case is particularly noteworthy as all three babies were delivered normally, without the need for a cesarean section, which is a rarity in such cases,” said hospital officials.
The mother and her newborns are currently under observation at the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
