Woman, child injured in Rajouri accidents

Rajouri, Mar 10: A woman and a minor child were injured in twin road accidents on Jammu- Rajouri- Poonch national highway.

Police said an accident occurred at Dandesar in Nowshera when a motorcycle JK11G 3728 hit a pedestrian woman. The injured as immediately removed to Nowshera sub district hospital in serious condition where she is under treatment.

She has been identified as Hamida Begum wife of Mohammad Farooq resident of Rajouri.

In another accident, police said, eight year old child Arfan Hussain son of Tanveer Hussain resident of Muradpur was injured after he was hit by a vehicle JK12 5955 on highway at Muradpur near Rajouri town.

The child walking alongside highway was hit by the vehicle.He was shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where he is under treatment and is said to be in critical condition.

Police said that necessary legal formalities and investigation has been set into motion after registration of FIRs in both the incidents.
