Withdraw discriminatory order: Hakeem Yaseen

Srinagar, May 3: President Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseem today urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to immediately withdraw its controversial order on marriage assistance that makes only 8th Class pass out females eligible for assistance under the  scheme.

In a statement Hakeem called the order a highly objectionable directive.

He  said marriage is equally a basic human right for both literate and illiterate females and as such educational qualifications has to do nothing with the marriage assistance .
