Will work with him for J&K's progress, says Rajnath Singh after meeting Omar Abdullah
Srinagar, Oct 24: The chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory Omar Abdullah Thursday met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.
This was the first meeting of Omar Abdullah being CM of UT J&K with Defence Minister after he assumed his office on Oct 16.
During the meeting Singh expressed the NDA government's willingness to collaborate on the region's progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Met with the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah in New Delhi. The NDA Govt under PM Narendra Modi is looking forward to working with him for J&K’s progress," said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in a post on X.
Earlier Omar Abdullah met Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister of Roads, Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.
