Will try to make assembly ‘people-centric’: NC chief spokesperson

Srinagar, Mar 01: National Conference (NC) chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq today said that government will do every possible effrot to make assembly ‘people-centric’. He said whatever will be raised in the House will be in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to reporters in Srinagar, NC chief spokesperson criticized reports of ‘shadow cabinet’ being constituted by opposition BJP.

“Let BJP to do what they want, but what we want is to ensure smooth functioning of the House to address peoples’ issues. Today the House has 88 MLAs who will take up peoples’ grievances. The elected MLAs will flag up peoples’ questions and whosoever will interrupt in it will go against the whims and wishes of people,” NC chief spokesperson said.

He appealed opposition to ensure smooth business of the House which is commencing from March 3. “There will be an effort to fill vacuum of last ten years and address peoples’ grievances,” he said.

“The government will do every effort to make the Assembly people-centric,” NC leader held.

Referring to the statement of chief minister J&K, the NC leader said that peoples’ participation is must in bringing peace, and without their participation the peace cannot be achieved.
