Will support JKEJCC pendown strike on Sep 25: Qayoom Wani
Srinagar, Sep 22: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir civil society forum, president Pensioners United front and Former President EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani has announced unconditional moral support to the two-hour pen down strike call given by JK Employees joint consultative commitee headed by Aijaz Ahmad Khan.
In a statement, Wani said that employees and pensioners are the worst hit section by the present dispensation.
Wani said employees and pensioners are now deprived by their legitimate rights i.e own deposited GPF, earned pension ,leave salary ,commutation and human issue and it is unfortunate that govt is sleeping on the legitimate regularisation demand of casual and daily wagers despite agreements ,commitee reports and cabinet decision.
Wani said enhancement of medical allowance to employees and pensioners seems to be a distant dream besides other burning issues of employees. Wani also criticised the govt for not implementing senior citizens act passed in 2017 despite repeatedly represented before government and CM Omar Abdullah. “I hope good sense will prevail upon all of us for better tomorrow. Wani assured that full support from JKCSF and JKPUF to all employee leaders for unconditional morale support to any movement which will protect dignity ,honor and rights of employee fraternity” he added.
