Speaking to reporters, Karra said, “We have convened a meeting of the core committee to brief them about the discussions held between the Congress high command and the NC leadership. I will inform them and seek their opinion on what should be the next course of action.”

The party is holding a meeting today to discuss its strategy for the Rajya Sabha polls.

As exclusively reported by KNO, the National Conference has offered a risky seat to Congress, but the latter is insisting on contesting a safer seat.

Sources said that Congress may decide against contesting the seat, given that the BJP holds an advantageous position over the fourth seat. Against the alliance’s 24 second-preference votes, the BJP has 28 votes.—(KNO)
