Srinagar, March 02: The meteorological department has predicted widespread rains and snow at most places in Jammu and Kashmir today with the possibility of “heavy to very heavy snowfall” over the higher reaches.
In a statement, a MeT spokesman said “heavy to very heavy” snow is likely over higher reaches of Kashmir and Pir Panjal in Jammu.

He said there is a possibility of gusty winds (35-45 KMPH) at many places.
In view of the forecast, it advised travellers and tourists to plan their journeys accordingly.

He said there are chances of landslides and mudslides and shooting stones at a few places.
