On March 31, J&K is expected to experience partly to generally cloudy weather with intermittent light rain or snow at a few places.

Generally, dry weather has been forecast thereafter until April 5.

Earlier in the day, J&K Disaster Management Authority issued a medium-danger level avalanche warning for four districts of the Kashmir division – Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla, and Ganderbal.

“Avalanche with medium danger level is likely to occur above 2400 metres over Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, and Baramulla districts in the next 24 hours,” the JKDMA said here.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of lightning over the plains of J&K on March 29 and 30.

It also informed about the possibility of a hailstorm with gusty winds in the plains of J&K on March 30.
