Who will be new BJP President?
New Delhi, June 9: JP Nadda, the current President of BJP, took an oath today as the fifth senior cabinet minister for the Modi 3.0 government, leaving the question of his successor open.
With most senior and prominent BJP leaders now sworn in as ministers, the party must decide on its new president.
Nadda was sworn in as a Union Cabinet Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in 2014.
Having served as the national president of the BJP for over four years, he now returns to Modi's council of ministers at 63 years old.
Nadda is the sole representative from Himachal Pradesh in the BJP-led government.
While his assigned ministry has not yet been disclosed, he previously served as the Union Health Minister during Modi's first term.
The appointment of a new BJP President is anticipated with keen interest as the party prepares for the next phase of its leadership.
