On October 14, in a media interaction on the sidelines of a mega ex-servicemen rally and other events organised at Satwari Ground, Jammu by the Tiger Division, to mark the diamond jubilee of Indian victory in 1965 war, Lt Gen Katiyar had cautioned that Pakistan might attempt a Pahalgam-like attack again in pursuance of its policy of “bleed India with a thousand cuts.”

Yet, he had asserted that the Indian Army was fully prepared to deal with any mischief by Pakistan and its (India’s) response would be deadlier than the ‘Operation Sindoor.’

“India has inflicted heavy damage to Pakistan in Operation Sindoor. But Pakistan will not change its course. Therefore, we will have to remain prepared and we are. The Indian Army is fully ready to take on Pakistan, in case of any mischief. Mind it, this time our response, our action will be ‘deadlier than the Operation Sindoor.’ It has to be deadlier,” Western Army Commander had stated.
