Weeklong E-Yantra Workshop on Embedded IoT & Robotics Begins at GCW MA Road
Srinagar, Dec 10: The Department of Computer Applications, Government College for Women, M.A. Road, has inaugurated a weeklong workshop titled “Introduction to Embedded IoT and Robotics” under the prestigious e-Yantra programme. The workshop aims to equip students with hands-on skills in modern embedded systems and intelligent technologies.
Conducted in collaboration with TechNurture Labs, a leading name in Robotics and AI education in the valley, the workshop brings together experts and enthusiasts to explore real-world applications of automation. Throughout the week, participants will learn how to design, integrate, and program systems using ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other contemporary microcontroller and sensor modules.
The sessions focus on practical learning, enabling students to build mini-projects, understand system architecture, and gain familiarity with IoT communication protocols. Faculty members highlighted that the initiative aligns with the institution’s vision of promoting industry-relevant technical skills among young women.
Representatives from TechNurture Labs emphasised the importance of robotics and IoT literacy in emerging career pathways, especially as innovation-driven industries continue to expand across the world. The collaboration seeks to inspire students to pursue advanced technological competencies and contribute meaningfully to the local tech ecosystem.
The workshop will conclude with project demonstrations by the participants, showcasing their learning and creativity over the course of the programme.
