Weather advisory issued in Pir Panjal

Rajouri, Aug 17: In view of the predictions for inclement weather over the next two days, authorities in Rajouri and Poonch districts of the Pir Panjal region on Sunday issued a public advisory, urging residents to exercise caution and ordering the closure of schools.

Officials advised the people to stay away from water bodies and landslide-prone areas.

Police vehicles are also making regular announcements to spread awareness among the people.

In the twin districts of Pir Panjal region, large scale losses of properties have taken place during the past couple of days, with the administration saying that it is accessing losses.

Authorities have urged people to strictly adhere to the advisory for their own safety.
