Wavusa residents decry dilapidated road
Srinagar, Sep 29: Residents of Wavusa area of Rangreth locality on city outskirts have decried failure of authorities to undertake repairs of dilapidated road in the area.
A delegation from the area said that the road is dotted with potholes hampering pedestrian and vehicular movement. “Commuters face problems to walk on uneven road surface. Many residents have been injured after skidding on the potholes. Several vehicles have also been damaged due to dilapidated road,” said a local Muhamamd Rafiq Mir.
Wavusa road serves as a link road between Rangreth and Humhama. “The road is vital link road. It is ironic that while roads in our adjoining localities were repaired and macadamised, our area has been left out,” a group of locals said.
“We make a fervent appeal to authorities to undertake immediate repairs of the road,” they added.
