Water conservation awareness programme launched in Kupwara schools

Kupwara, Apr 28: In a significant initiative, the District Administration Kupwara has successfully conducted a week-long awareness programme on water conservation and harvesting in all High and Higher Secondary Schools of the district. As directed by the District Development Commissioner Kupwara, the programme featured a range of engaging activities, including seminars, workshops, debates, painting competitions, and expert talks.

Approximately 350 activities were conducted across all educational institutions in the district, sensitising students and the wider community to the critical importance of water conservation.

The programme highlighted the vital role of water as a natural resource essential for sustaining life on earth. The Chief Education Officer (CEO) and District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Kupwara appreciated the Heads of Institutions (HOIs) for their active role in organizing the programme. They congratulated all stakeholders for their commitment to promoting awareness on water conservation and harvesting, emphasising the importance of such efforts for a sustainable future.
