On March 9, Dr Jitendra, through a tweet, while condemning the incident had stated that there seemed to be a “deep conspiracy behind brutal killing of three youth in Bani by the terrorists” and it was a matter of great concern.

“Memorials are built to inspire future generations. During the tenure of the Prime Minister Narendra, this process has started to bring our all forgotten heroes and martyrs to the fore by raising memorials or naming institutions, roads after them,” he said, responding to a related query after inaugurating a memorial built to commemorate the sacrifice of “Martyr Vakeel singh” who laid down his life in the line of duty in 1984 in the North-East.
