Waheed Parra’s father passes away

Srinagar, Jan 18: The father of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra passed away on Thursday.

He was 62.

A model apple grower in his area, Ghulam Ahmad Parra had been battling cancer for more than a year.

For the last year, Parra was moving from one hospital to another after he was detected with fourth-stage metastatic squamous cell carcinoma. For some time, he was admitted to the TATA Hospital in Mumbai.

The deceased is survived by three sons and a daughter.
