Voter awareness initiatives assessed in Gund

Gund, Sep 6: Tehsildar Gund, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, who is also the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) assembly constituency Kangan, convened a meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Awareness Group (BAG) members at the multipurpose building in Gund to assess the progress of voter awareness initiatives.

The meeting was attended by all the BLOs and BAG members of Tehsil Gund.

“The meeting aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to educate and engage voters, particularly in low-turnout areas. ARO emphasised the importance of voter participation in the democratic process and encouraged BLOs and BAG members to intensify their outreach activities,” a statement said.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strategies to enhance voter awareness, address voter apathy, and ensure maximum participation in the upcoming elections. The Tehsildar also reviewed the status of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) and other related activities. The meeting concluded with a clear direction to BLOs and BAG members to redouble their efforts, engage with voters, and make the electoral process more inclusive and participatory.
