Srinagar, Sep 23: Concluding his extensive public outreach campaign for the assembly polls in his home constituency of Channapora, Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari Monday made a passionate appeal to the electorate of this constituency to vote for him on the polling day to protect J&K’s rights.

A statement of the Apni Party issued here said that after yet another day of extensive door-to-door campaigning across various areas of the Chanapora constituency, Bukhari shared a video message urging voters to come out and support the Apni Party on Wednesday, the polling day.

“I request all respected residents – brothers and sisters, young and old - from the Channapora constituency to come out and vote for me on September 25. I am your candidate, and my symbol is the ‘Bat’. It is important that you come out on polling day with all your family members and cast your vote by pressing the No 4 button on the machine, which represents the Apni Party with the ‘Bat’ as its election symbol,” he said. “I assure you that I will continue to serve you, just as I have in the past. Your trust and support mean everything to me, and I am committed to ensuring the prosperity in this constituency.”

Bukhari reminded his voters that when Article 370 and Article 35-A were abrogated on August 5, 2019, he, along with his colleagues, stepped out of their homes and went to New Delhi to meet with government leaders there, ensuring that the people of J&K retained their exclusive rights over agricultural land and jobs.

He promised that, with the same spirit, he would protect the rights of the people of J&K.

Earlier, while meeting people during his personal outreach campaign through various localities, Bukhari said, “I need your vote and support so that I can implement my vision for the transformative development and prosperity of this constituency. I have said this repeatedly, and I am saying it again today: I have a clear vision for the transformative development and prosperity of this constituency. My goal is to transform this constituency into a thriving and well-developed area through comprehensive infrastructure improvements and a range of initiatives focused on enhancing the well-being of its residents.”

He thanked people and his party colleagues for the support he received throughout the campaign in the Channapora constituency.
