Vocational trainers delegation calls on CM
Srinagar, Nov 5: A key meeting took place today as the delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Vocational Trainers Welfare Association, lead by President Ghulam Jeelani Lone, met with the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
This meeting highlighted the decade-long dedication of vocational trainers and emphasised crucial reforms—integrating vocational trainers into mainstream education as per NEP 2020, eliminating third-party involvement (outsourcing), and establishing a clear job policy to secure the future of vocational trainers.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Chief Minister for his graciousness, understanding, and unwavering support. His commitment to discuss our case with the Ministry of Education offers renewed hope to vocational trainers, who have endured years of neglect. This moment marks a vital step forward in our fight for justice, recognition, and a better future for vocational trainers across J&K.”
