Violence, poll boycott do not fetch anything: Mehbooba Mufti

(DP) president and Lok Sabha candidate for Anantnag- Rajouri seat Mehboob Mufti reiterated that violence and boycott calls could not fetch anything to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Election boycott, stones and guns did not yield any result. If any thing is to come out that will come out of participating in electoral process, "Mehooba said during her roadshow in Anantnag. She said that the present battle is not about National Conference and PDP. "It is about who could represent the people truly in the parliament", she said.
PDP President urged the people to come in huge numbers and vote for the PDP." You have supported me in the past and I hope you will come out of your home and cast your ballots in my favour", Mehbooba said.
She said that by means of votes people have to send out a message to New Delhi that the unconstitutional decision taken on August 5, 2019 is unpalatable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba reiterated that these elections are not fought for the electricity or the roads. She said that these elections are for bringing an end to the enforced silence. In response to a question regarding the Prime Minister Modi's recent statement on minority Mehbooba said that it is very unfortunate that PM is making such statement. "Election commission must take not of such statements", Mehbooba said.
