Vijay Kumar appointed Special CP of Armed Police Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 7: The Delhi Police Headquarters Friday issued an official order announcing the appointment of senior IPS officer Vijay Kumar as Special Commissioner of Police, Armed Police, Delhi.

A local news gathering agency, KDC reported that the order, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters-III), Rakesh Paweriya, states that the transfer and posting has been made in pursuance of the Government of NCT of Delhi’s Order No F No 5/37/2023/HP-I/Estt/568-576 dated March 6, 2025, and on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board.

The posting takes effect immediately.

Vijay Kumar, an experienced IPS officer of the 1997 batch, was posted to this role upon his arrival.

His appointment is expected to strengthen the Armed Police division of Delhi Police.
