Vigilance awareness week begins across Kashmir with integrity pledge ceremonies
Srinagar, Oct 27: Vigilance Awareness Week–2025, themed “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility”, began across Kashmir on Monday with pledge-taking ceremonies, workshops, and awareness events organised by the Divisional and District Administrations in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
The week-long campaign was formally launched with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, administering the Integrity Pledge to all Deputy Commissioners and senior officers through a virtual event. The officers reaffirmed their collective commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in public administration.
In Budgam, ACB Srinagar and the District Administration jointly organised a workshop on vigilance awareness.
Similar events were organised in Shopian, Bandipora, Kulgam, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Baramulla, and Pulwama districts, where Deputy Commissioners led the Integrity Pledge ceremonies and addressed gatherings on the importance of ethical governance. ACB officials delivered presentations highlighting anti-corruption laws, complaint mechanisms, and the role of vigilance in promoting clean administration.
The Vigilance Awareness Week, observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, will continue till November 2 with seminars, debates, and outreach programmes across all districts, promoting a culture of integrity and zero tolerance towards corruption.
