Veteran journalist Zafar Agha passes away
Srinagar, March 22: Veteran journalist and Group Editor of National Herald, Zafar Agha, passed away on Friday. He was 70.
“The Press Club of India expresses profound grief and sorrow at the passing away of veteran journalist and Group Editor of National Herald, Zafar Agha,” Press Club of India wrote on X.
He had worked with several publications, including the Patriot, and India Today. “We stand in solidarity with the family & friends,” said the Press Club of India further.
Mr Agha was also associated with Greater Kashmir before 1990.
Mr Agha, who began his career as a journalist with Link Magazine in 1979, is survived by his son Moonis. He died at Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj, reported Indian Express.
He also served as member and then officiating chairperson of The National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions till 2017.
