Vehicular movement restored at Dalwas on Jammu-Srinagar highway
Srinagar, Mar 12: Traffic authorities on Tuesday restored vehicular movement at Dalwas on Jammu-Srinagar highway.
Earlier the vehicular movement was stopped due to poor surface at Dalwas, which led thousands of passengers stranded on the Jammu-Srinagar highway for several hours.
The officials said due to single lane and poor surface condition the movement of vehicles are going slowly, and advised commuters to follow lane discipline to avoid traffic congestion on the stretch.
Taking to micro-blogging site X the J&K Traffic Police said, “Traffic restored at Dalwas on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Slow movement due to single lane and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline, overtaking will lead to congestion”.
“Moreover, people are advised/requested not ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW,” it added.
