Vehicles used in illegal mining seized

Jammu, Jan 22 : Vehicles used in illegal mining were seized in Jammu today.

An official press release said that Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu North, Nitish Rajora conducted impromptu inspections that uncovered multiple instances of unauthorised mining activities involving heavy machinery.

At Kangrail, two earth movers (JCB) and a dumper were seized for engaging in mining activities without the requisite permissions.

A similar situation unfolded in Jandyal, where an earth mover was seized.

Additionally, a dumper each was confiscated at Ghaink and Bhalwal for indulging in unauthorised transportation of minor minerals, lacking valid permissions.
