Vande Kargil Rally rolls through Srinagar

Srinagar, July 14: The ‘Vande Kargil Rally’, organised by The Mahindra Group as part of the nationwide Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav celebrations, made a significant stop in Srinagar today. The rally, which arrived in the city on July 13, carries the poignant theme ‘Hearts to Bravehearts’, serving as a tribute from Indian citizens to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Army.

A statement that a team of 43 participants, including ex-servicemen, family members of fallen soldiers, and civilians, embarked on the next leg of their journey this morning. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 31 Sub Area officiated the flag-off ceremony, marking the rally’s departure from Srinagar.

The event featured a touching moment with the unveiling of a ‘Thank You Message Box’. This box contains personal messages from citizens across India, expressing their deep gratitude to the soldiers for their unwavering commitment and service to the nation. This gesture stands as a powerful symbol of the country’s collective appreciation for its Armed Forces.
