Srinagar, Sep 7: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani has expressed serious concern over the use of the National emblem at the Dargah Hazratbal in a manner that may not be in line with law and religious sentiment, he added.

Wani said that Hazratbal Shrine holds the highest place of reverence in the hearts of Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir and across the globe.

“The faith of Muslims is strictly based on the oneness of Almighty Allah, and any act or practice that appears contrary to this fundamental belief naturally causes deep unease and hurt,” he observed.

Wani underlined that the National emblem is a matter of national pride and dignity for all citizens, and therefore its sanctity must be preserved.
