Use of force against women inhuman: MP Mian Altaf

Srinagar, Mar 17: National Conference Member of Parliament (MP), Mian Altaf Ahmad has condemned police action against women in south Kashmir’s Kulgam and demanded action against the accused officer involved.

In a statement issued, Mian Altaf termed the incident as “inhumane and unprofessional”, and called for an inquiry into the action.

“It is a highly condemnable act and there should be an investigation and action against the officer involved “ Mian Altaf said.

He also reiterated his demand for a fast-track investigation into the disappearance of three people from Qazigund area and death of two among them. Mian Altaf also demanded compensation to the families of the victims and urged administration to take measures to trace out the missing person.
