USBRL Project | DG RPF inspects Banihal-Khari-Sangaldan section; reviews security
Banihal, Apr 13: Director General (DG) of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Manoj Yadava Saturday inspected the Banihal-Khari-Sangaldan section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project and reviewed security, deployment of Force (RPF).
DG RPF is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
On the first day of his visit, DG RPF inspected the railway stations and railway security and deployment – right from Banihal railway station to Sangaldan railway station in Ramban district, an official told Greater Kashmir over the phone.
Yadava was accompanied by the senior officials of RPF, Northern Railway, USBRL and IRCON International.
Officials said, “After reaching Srinagar from Delhi on Saturday morning, DG RPF Manoj Yadava reached Banihal by a special inspection rail car and inspected the railway station and RPF post at railway station Banihal. He deliberated on various security issues with senior officials.”
He also visited and inspected the railway stations of Khari, Sumbar and Sangaldan. Later, he took stock of Railway Protection Force deployment and security at railway stations. He was briefed by RPF officials about the deployment of RPF and other security issues.
DG RPF left for Srinagar this evening.
Officials said, “After attending a Suraksha Sammelan at the conference hall of railway station Srinagar on Sunday morning, DG will travel to Baramulla by inspection rail car and will inspect the Railway Station Baramulla and Railway Protection Force post there (Baramulla railway station).”
Director General RPF will leave for Jammu by air from Srinagar on Sunday afternoon, they added.
