USBRL PROJECT | CRS inspection of new Khari-Sumbar-Sangaldan sections on Thursday
Ramban, Feb, 13: The final CRS inspection of the new rail line from the Khari-Sumbar-Sangaldan sections of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project (USBRL) project of the Firozpur division will be conducted on Thursday.
It would be opened with electric train operation shortly.
In a statement issued by the Chief Administrative Officer, Northern Railway Construction Organisation USBRL Project, Jammu, said that the newly constructed line in the Khari-Sumber (13.65 km) and Sumber-Sangaldan (19.50 km) sections of the Firozpur division would be opened with electric train operation shortly.
A high-speed trial of the section by special train would be conducted by the Commissioner of Railway Safety on February 16, 2024, after the trolley inspection on February 15, 2024.
Thereafter, train operations would start between the Khari to Sangaldan stations of the USBRL Project.
“The general public is informed to stay away from railway lines. Crossing the track at any location is trespassing and is a punishable offence and liable for prosecution under the Railway Act,” the statement read.
