US Vice President JD Vance to undertake official visit to India from April 21–24
New Delhi, Apr 17: The Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance, will be on an official visit to India from April 21 to 24, 2025. Accompanied by Second Lady Mrs. Usha Vance, their children, and senior officials from the U.S. administration, this marks Vice President Vance’s first trip to India in his current capacity.
During the visit, Vice President Vance is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21 in New Delhi.
In addition to high-level engagements in the capital, the Vice President and his delegation will also travel to Jaipur and Agra before returning to Washington, D.C., on April 24.
The visit presents an opportunity for both nations to assess progress on key aspects of the bilateral relationship and to review the implementation of commitments outlined in the India-U.S. Joint Statement released on February 13, 2025, during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the United States. The two sides are also expected to exchange views on pressing regional and global issues of shared interest.
