Banihal, Nov 5: Light rain lashed the plains of Ramban district on Tuesday night, while higher reaches and mountainous areas experienced fresh snowfall, bringing winter-like conditions across the Chenab valley districts.

Intermittent rain, accompanied by strong winds, began Tuesday evening in Ramban, Banihal, and adjoining areas, continuing late into the night. By Wednesday morning, the Pir Panjal mountain range was draped in a white blanket of snow, offering a picturesque view.

Fresh snowfall was reported from several higher-altitude villages and mountain tops, including Mahu -Mangit, Jawahar Tunnel Top, Chanjloo, Dooligam, Sirachi, Neel, Pogal-Paristan, Sumber, Khari, Trigam, Gool, and Rajgarh.
