Upgradation of Mundian health centre in Keran sought
Kupwara, Dec 17: The residents of Keran Tuesday said that the First Aid Centre located at Mundian area was established in 1973 and after the passage of over fifty years the centre was yet to be upgraded thus putting the locals into a lot of inconvenience.
The residents said that this health centre caters a huge chunk of population so its upgradation was the need of the hour.
They said that whenever any medical emergency arises, they have to carry patients either to NTPHC Keran or Sub District Hospital Kralpora and during heavy snowfall they are forced to take their patients on shoulders for treatment. “If our health centre is upgraded we would not face any difficulty with regard to proper treatment,” a local told Greater Kashmir.
The residents said that at present First Aid Centre Mundian was lacking all the basic facilities thus giving a tough time to the residents. They demanded that at least a doctor be posted at Mundian till their genuine demand is redressed. Locals have sought immediate intervention of MLA Trehgam Mir Saifullah in this regard.
